  • Clear: Allow light in while providing the best hurricane & storm protection available anywhere.
  • Aluminum: Lightweight, does not rust, easy to install and store as well as being inexpensive.
  • PVC: PVC coated woven fabric panels, tested to block wind, rain and storm-driven projectiles, yet are transluscent allowing light to enter and easy to handle.
 

Risks & Misconceptions

  • Unprotected windows are a potential source of flying glass projectiles which can wound or even kill people and can damage property.
  • Unprotected windows can cause roofs and walls to be destroyed by providing hurricanes with the ability to equalize pressure inside and out.
  • Covering windows with duct tape does not help protect windows, people or property.
  • Leaving windows open does not help but instead increases risk of damage to people and property.
  • Covering windows with thin plywood is bulky and difficult. It only provides limited protection and can instead become a hazard if the plywood is ripped from walls during a hurricane.
